How to use the Perfekt Striper Line Marking Machine

18 08 2011

One sunny summers day (finally!) we took the Perfekt Striper Line Marking Machine out into our car park area to cover over our worn down thermoplastic lines. Our markings had been severely damaged after years of use and were in need of a real tune up! Having never used the machine before we were keen to see how easy it was to use the machine, and it basically couldn’t have been any simpler. After 15 minutes we were back in the office having re-done all our parking spaces, as well as our neighbors!

The Perfekt Striper Line Marking Machine can be used by following these easy steps:

  • Sweep the lines that you want to paint, ensuring you remove all debris.
  • Mark the end of the line with tape to ensure a smooth and straight finish at the end of your line
  • Take the can of  Traffic Paint EXTRA Line Marking and shake it until you can hear the ball rattle inside the can. Continue shaking the can for another 20 seconds after you hear the rattle.
  • Insert the can into the Perfekt Striper Line Marking Machine  and set the line width to your desired level
  • Position the arrow on the front of the machine in-line with the line you wish to paint over
  • Squeeze the trigger on the handle to starting spraying the paint and walk along the line slowly
  • When you reach the tape at the end of the line, let go of the handle and continue walking. Don’t swerve once you reach the end, as the wheels may go over the wet paint and result in you making an unwanted line from the wheels.

Once you have finished all your lines the paint should be touch dry within 20 minutes. For best results you should paint the lines on a dry warm day. If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to contact the Pittman Team at 1890 20 23 76  or email us at team@pittman.ie
